Ardene House has purpose built equine facilities to allow your horse access to modern
diagnostic and treatment without the added stress of repeated travel.
The dedicated surgical suite allows us to perform a wide range of surgical procedures using the
latest anaesthetic techniques. We have a full range of diagnostic equipment including radiography,
ultrasound and endoscopy.
Ardene House is often asked to carry out examinations on a second opinion or referral basis.
We are always happy to assist horse owners and veterinary surgeons in resolving problem cases. We
also have a visiting equine specialist, Dr Graham Munroe.
All of our equine vets are qualified in equine dentistry and we have invested in the latest
equipment to provide a first class dental service either on the yard or, for more complex work,
in our equine hospital.
Buying a horse is always fraught with difficulties and risk. The pre-purchase examination is an
essential part of the process which will help to reduce and quantify some of that risk. Our equine vets are
happy to carry out a range of pre-purchase examinations.
Ardene House is a British Equine Veterinary Association approved AI centre and provides a full equine
breeding service.
Our in-house farrier, Donald Nicol ACWF is available for remedial farriery consultations at the hospital
every Wednesday morning.
Ardene House is one of only a small number of locations in the northeast of Scotland where horses and
ponies can be officially measured under Joint Measurement Board (JMB) regulations.
