Megan joined the Ardene House team in February 2025. She is originally from Southern California, but was always keen to move abroad and thought the UK would be a perfect fit.

Megan graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science before moving to Scotland to attend vet school at the University of Glasgow. During her studies, she worked as an out of hours technician at Glasgow Equine Hospital and Practice, eventually moving up to the role of head technician. Amongst balancing a busy work/university schedule, Megan was a part of Team USA in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where she was groom for one of the phenomenal horses/athletes. A once in a lifetime experience she will never forget and was honoured to be a part of. After graduating in 2023, Megan moved to Newbury, England where she completed an 18 month internship at Donnington Grove Equine Vets. She rotated through the hospital’s medicine, surgery and imaging teams, gaining invaluable experience from specialists at the top of their fields. She also completed a research project looking at the use of intra-synovial corticosteroids for residual inflammation following synovial sepsis, which she presented at the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) Congress in 2024.

Megan has a rescue dog named Sadie, also from California, who accompanies her to most calls. Surely she’s barked at some of you, she is very protective over “her” van! In their spare time, Megan and Sadie enjoy exploring the world in their roof tent, with their favourite destination so far being tied between Norway and Switzerland.
