Valentina graduated from the University of Zagreb in 2020. Immediately after graduation she participated in a research project as a member of the university research team. Valentina started her career as an equine vet by working at a large referral hospital in Northern France during the foaling season, primarily responsible for the care and management of sick neonates.
In 2023 she completed her first 12 month rotating internship programme at Troytown Equine Hospital in Kildare, Ireland, gaining experience across a wide range of equine disciplines. The same year Valentina joined the team of Endell Equine Hospital in Wiltshire for her second rotation internship, further strengthening clinical skills and deepening interest in sports medicine and orthopaedics. She worked in a mixed equine role afterwards, combining ambulatory work with in-clinic responsibilities. Involved in a variety of cases, from routine care to complex clinical investigations.
The areas of her special interests are sports medicine, orthopaedics and poor performance investigation. Reproduction and neonatal care are another part of veterinary profession Valentina very much enjoys participating in.
Outside of work, Valentina enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities including cycling, running, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding. When visiting home in Croatia, she spends time with her two horses and enjoys taking trips with her two dogs.
