Dory is a 5 year old Collie. She has been awarded with this month’s Braveheart Award as she has been very brave while suffering from both Tetanus and having a foreign object stuck in her eye.
Dory contracted Tetanus at the end of October 2015. Tetanus is a zoonotic disease which means it can be transmitted between animals and humans! Tetanus or also known as “lockjaw” causes all the muscles in your body to spasm and tense up constantly! Dory was hospitalised to treat her tetanus for 14 days.
Earlier this month Dory also had to undergo treatment to remove a small foreign body from her eye!
Throughout all of her treatment Dory has remained a happy loving dog!
