Monica Wallace

Monica qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 1994, and after a year in mixed practice worked in the original Ardene House at Bon Accord Street for 4 years before heading to Australia for different experiences. After some travel and locum work, Monica settled in Aberdeenshire working at Mintlaw Vets for 21 years, before deciding new challenges were needed and joining our team. 

Monica loves all things surgery. She has a certificate in small animal surgery, and is a registered advanced practitioner in surgery. That said, she enjoys caring for all patients and works hard to ensure patients and owners have the best possible outcomes. 

Out of work Monica has just acquired a reactive 2 years old collie, and when not out with him can be found in the gym, in the hills (walking or snowboarding), or playing and/or coaching touch rugby - locally and internationally. To relax, playing at cookery, or enjoying a nice gin or red wine with a good book are the go to options.
