Marcel Kovalik

Marcel has successfully completed his veterinary medicine training at the University of Košice in 2004 and obtained an international PhD degree.  In the years 2008-2011 Marcel went on to complete the highest possible education in veterinary dermatology at the University of Edinburgh in Great Britain and earned his status as a European specialist in veterinary dermatology.

Marcel has given many lectures at international congresses and professional events around the world.  He is the author, co-author and reviewer of numerous scientific and professional publications.  Marcel provides dermatological and dermatohistological services in his specialized veterinary hospital, Anima in Žilina, and at several specialized referral hospitals in Great Britain.

Marcel has received several prestigious awards in recognition of his efforts:

•    Young Investigator's prize for the best research abstract
•    Award for the best scientific paper in Florence
•    The Ulli Runge Harms Award from the European Association of Veterinary Dermatologists in Brussels for the best publication and presentation of a scientific project
